EMMERDALE star Dominic Brunt has played Paddy Kirk for over 25 years which makes him one of the longest-serving actors on the show.

Who is Dominic Brunt?
Dominic Adam Brunt, 52, was born April 15, 1970 and is a British actor and director.
He is best known for his role in ITV's Emmerdale as vet Paddy Kirk.
Brunt studdied at Accrington Moorhead Sports College before moving on to the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where he met his wife Joanne Mitchell.
In his spare time, he is a self-confessed zombie obsessive and together with fellow Emmerdale actor Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle, organised Leeds' first zombie film festival in 2008.

When did Dominic join Emmerdale as Paddy Kirk?
He landed the part in 1997 and has been playing him ever since.
For this role, he was nominated in the category of Best Actor at the 2011 British Soap Awards, as well as received nominations for Best Comedy Performance in 2009, 2010 and 2013.
At the 2019 British Soap Awards, he was nominated for three awards.
He received a longlist nomination for Best Actor, and shortlist nominations for Best Male Dramatic Performance and Best On-Screen Partnership with Lucy Pargeter, who plays his on-screen wife Chas Dingle.

What else has Dominic been in?
Dominic's career on-screen started in 1995 when he was cast to play a shop assistant on The Bill.
He then went on to appear on Crime Watch File, Skin, and Inspector Morse.
He even directed and starred in a zombie film called Before Dawn which was made in 2012.
Dominic was also featured in the British movie Inbred (2011), playing the role of chainsaw welding Podge.

Is Dominic married and does he have children?
Dominic has been married to actress Joanne Mitchell since 2003.
She is best known for Evie (2021), The Outing (2022) and Inertia (2021).
In 2011 she co-founded Mitchell Brunt Films with her husband and has worked as a producer/writer on several of the company's films.
The pair have two sons together, Mickey-Joe and Danny-Lee.
At just eight months old, their son Danny was diagnosed with a potentially life-threatening condition, which required major heart surgery at just eight months old.
Speaking previously on This Morning, Dominic said: "He had to go through major heart surgery at eight months old.

"He's absolutely fine now. At the time it's the most horrific thing to have to go through as a parent and obviously as a child, but he's football-mad now, he's completely fine."
The star added: "He has check-ups once a year for the rest of his life, but thankfully Leeds Royal Infirmary were great and the Children's Heart Surgery Fund have been great."
