CHIP is a British grime artist who has made a big name for himself in the music industry.
The talented rapper has collaborated with massive names across UK and US charts, but is also notorious for feuding with other artists.
Who is Chipmunk?
Rapper Chip was born as Jahmaal Noel Fyffe in Tottenham, North London in 1990.
Fyffe originally received the nickname Chipmunk from a friend, who he has said was later killed, because he was "short and chubby with big teeth".
However, later in his career in 2011, Chipmunk dropped the nickname to Chip.
In 2009, he became the youngest UK rapper to hit number one when his track Oopsy Daisy reached the top of the charts.
He won Best Newcomer at the 2008 Mobo Awards and his debut album I am Chipmunk went platinum, spawning a slew of top 40 hits.
After a two-year heist from releasing music, Chip announced on Twitter in February 2023, that he is back.
He said: " F**k. It's been two years and one month since I released a solo project. Thank you to my core supporters for persevering with me.
"I am MORE than locked and LOADED ready to start getting the ball rolling again. See you after Ramadan…. Chippy will be back and on VOLTS. Love".

What are Chipmunk's biggest songs?
Chipmunk's first hit came with Esmée Denters' track Until You Were Gone
After that, the young star collaborated with N-Dubz and toured with Tinchy Stryder.
His debut album, I Am Chipmunk, featured four pop songs which peaked in the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, including chart-topping single Oopsy Daisy.
Although the rapper knew huge pop success, he moved further towards the grime genre after dropping his debut album.
Chip's two-part Believe & Achieve EP project in 2015 featured some of the biggest UK grime names: D Double E, Jammer, Stormzy, Kano, Wretch 32 and Shalo.
In March 2020 he announced a surprise album with fellow rappers Skepta and Young Adz.
Insomnia debuted in at number three in the official UK charts with 2 top 40 singles.

Chipmunk's feud with Stormzy explained
Chip's March 2020 track “Waze” with Skepta and Young Adz was the first sign of any beef between him and Stormzy.
He appeared to mention Stormzy, rapping: "You ain’t been platinum, silver or gold, you ain’t even been bronze, you div / You ain’t even done ten years in this ting / ‘Round here we don’t hear you’re a king, man will take your throne"
Two months later, Stormzy released I Dunno with Tion Wayne and Dutchavelli, responding to Chip.
Stormzy replied to Chip's bars: "Is he sending for me? I dunno / What them boy there sell first week? I dunno / When they ask for the fee let ’em know that’s it 1.5 for the headline show".
Chip and Stormzy officially became locked in a feud when Chip accused Stormzy of turning up at his Essex home in June 2020, refusing to leave the property.
Alongside the accusation, Chip dropped a fiery diss track and a video of the alleged incident.
On the new track, Chip raps: "I know where you live too, but that is not the point of this / Pull up, catch me lackin’, plan failed, there’s no avoidin’ this.
"Dunno what you heard about Essex but it’s calm, darg / And they ain’t used to black people screamin’ down the car parks / So let me ask you this, Mr. Road Man, ’cause you don’t get the program / It seems like you wanna lose it all."
Chipmunk's feud with Bugzy Malone explained
The pair have been exchanging back-and-forth diss tracks since 2015 when Bugzy called out Chip during a Fire in the Booth freestyle on BBC 1Xtra.
It turned into a mass feud involving rappers from Big Narstie to Saskilla and Tinie Tempah.
But in 2018, it appeared like all the drama was put to rest when Bugzy publicly addressed his feud with Chip during an interview on Capital Xtra.
Bugzy explained that their feud was good for the UK music scene.
He said: "It was good. And in situations like that, if you don’t take yourself too seriously then you understand that you’re making history in those moments.
“We single-handedly developed a lot of the attention that went onto Grime music because something real was happening in there. Something really could have gone wrong.”
"A lot of the attention then came back because two people were brave enough to criticise and put each other down.”
