WALFORD youngster Freddie Slater sought closure from his past earlier this year, prompting Theo Hawthorne to make his debut.
But since then, EastEnders fans believe the new character is up to no good as he takes an interest in Lily Slater. Get the lowdown.
Who is Theo Hawthorne in EastEnders?
As mentioned above, Theo is a part of Freddie Slater's past and the lad finally opened up about him in scenes aired on BBC One.
At the time, the lad portrayed by Bobby Brazier had accidentally double-booked himself and had to make the most of two dates at the same time.
One playful comment from Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) immediately brought back painful memories from his childhood – with Theo Hawthorne as his main source of trauma.
Freddie confided in Jean in later scenes, telling her that his school teacher, Mr Hawthorne, had a harsh way of leading his classroom.

He recounted how, much like Jean had, Theo Hawthorne would pick on him in school, questioning his intelligence and calling him "thick."
Jean apologised for her comment and proved she was remorseful by tracking Theo Hawthorne down and encouraging Freddie to seek closure from him.
Freddie was seen standing up to Theo Hawthorne once and for all in early April, 2023.
The following day, Theo and Freddie bumped into each other in the café and the teacher explained his class was hard work before apologising for his comments.

Theo then added he should have been respectful of Freddie's ADHD, which the latter denied having.
However, Theo insisted he could have it unknowingly and urged him to get checked out.
Thanks to Theo's perspective, Freddie was later officially diagnosed with ADHD.
What does Theo Hawthorne want in EastEnders?
Things have since taken a turn with Theo Hawthorne and viewers are becoming suspicious of him.
It all began when Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) found out Theo had bought her pregnant daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) a pair of trainers she couldn't afford.
Stacey refused to let Lily have the trainers and ordered Theo to leave.
Lily was later influenced by her friends, who found the situation strange, to confront Theo about his intentions but he immediately reassured her.
After finding out her daughter was wearing the trainers she was not supposed to, Stacey angrily confronted Lily who assured her she'd found the shoes in the bin after Theo had dumped them there.
The twelve-year-old added that Stacey's behaviour towards Theo had been horrid and both adults discussed matters in the Vic.
But when Theo then watched Stacey and Lily from a distance, fans of the London-based program became increasingly convinced he had sinister motives for getting close to Lily.
For several weeks, viewers have speculated he could even be one of Stacey's clients on Secret Cam who demanded she show her face for money.
But what does Theo really want out of the Slaters?

Who plays Theo Hawthorne in EastEnders?
Theo Hawthorne has been portrayed by London actor William Ellis since his first appearance on our screens.
The 44-year-old soap star has several other TV credits to his name as he's appeared in multiple other well-known shows in the likes of The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, The Bill and Doctors.
William has also had roles in movies A Closed Book, Great Expectations and Queen of the Desert.
Not much is know about his personal life but he has been married to former camera manager Alice Hobden since September, 2021.
