At least ten people dead in horror bus crash in New South Wales after coach rolls over at a roundabout

At least 10 people have died and 11 others rushed to hospital after a bus crash in New South Wales, in what is one of Australia’s deadliest road accidents in decades.
Reports have said that the coach rolled over at a roundabout on Wine Country Drive near the Hunter Expressway off ramp in Greta.
The small town is located about 78 miles north of Sydney and 25 miles northwest of Newcastle.
The bus driver, a 58-year-old man, is alive and was taken to hospital under police guard for assessment, BNO News reports.
Police said that 11 passengers had to be airlifted or taken by ambulance to hospital while 18 others were uninjured.
The accident happened just after 11.30pm local time on Sunday and a crime scene has been established, which will be examined by specialist forensic police and the Crash Investigation Unit.
‘Initial inquiries indicate 10 people have died. 11 people were transported to hospital via helicopter and road, and 18 passengers are uninjured,’ New South Wales Police said in a statement early Monday morning.
After they were called to the scene, police said a ‘large-scale emergency response commenced involving officers from Hunter Valley Police District, Police Rescue, Traffic and Highway Patrol, NSW Ambulance paramedics, NSW Fire and Rescue, NSW Rural Fire Service, and various helicopters for hospital transports’.
