A large-scale search has been launched for an Australian man who fell overboard while on a Royal Caribbean cruise from Brisbane to Hawaii.
Nine News reports the man fell from the Quantum of the Seas just after 11pm on Tuesday, local time.

The ship had made a stop at Tahiti before the incident occurred.
A search and rescue mission is now under way for the missing passenger and the US Navy has been called in to assist.
