BREAKING: EasyJet flight issues ’emergency alert’ as plane from London to Edinburgh is diverted to Manchester following a ‘passenger incident’

An easyJet flight was forced to suddenly divert this evening after an ’emergency alert’ was reportedly issued in the air near Manchester.
The EZY312 flight, from London Stansted to Edinburgh, that departed at around 5.20pm, suddenly diverted to Liverpool John Lennon whilst flying over the Peak District.
The flight path shows how the aircraft then turned and flew over Manchester before landing at Liverpool John Lennon airport shortly after 6pm.
RadarBox reported that an emergency alert was issued before the aircraft was forced to make the sudden diversion to Liverpool.

easyJet’s live flight checker online said that a second follow-on flight was organised for passengers to eventually reach Edinburgh and that the diversion was due to a ‘passenger incident’ on board.
The update read: ‘We’re very sorry that your flight has now been diverted to Liverpool.
‘This is due to a passenger incident. The disruption to your flight is outside of our control and is considered to be an extraordinary circumstance.’
easyJet have been approached for further details on the nature of the incident.
