The unsanctioned feature happened at Adams’ recent concert in Salt Lake City, as the Canadian crooner sought to sing the opening bars of his seminal rock ballad Summer of ‘69.
As 63-year-old Adams leans back to catch his breath, the overeager admirer is seen rushing within a few feet of the musician, with security nowhere to be seen.
The man – dressed in black ripped jeans and a white T-shirt – goes on to grab the mic before continuing the song himself in a mangled warble. Prior to being apprehended, the concert crasher was able to let out the lyric ‘bought it at the five and dime.’
Despite being unplanned, the incident served to set up Adams – who appeared bewildered but unfazed by the interruption – to still hit his iconic line, ‘Was the summer of ’69,’ apparently completely unfussed by the intrusion.

The impressively timed moment, which happened on Adams’ July 7 stop on his So Happy It Hurts Tour, only lasted a few seconds, but quickly went viral after clips circulated online.
It caused the hashtag #BryanAdams to briefly trend on Twitter in the singer’s native Canada, after thousands in attendance joined in with Adams after the fan was out of sight.
At that point, Adams – a consummate professional – steps back to the mic and continues singing the ensuing lyrics. Several onlookers on social media went on to hail the singer for doing so without missing a beat.
‘Bryan Adams picks up where drunk guy who rushed the stage left off,’ one user wrote, sharing now viral video of the widely seen encounter.
Another touted: ‘That’s how an entertainer handles that kind of moment!’
‘Zero beats skipped,’ someone else observed.
‘Now THAT’s a pro!’ another person added, before noting how ‘the drummer caught it perfectly too’.

Some expressed similar satisfaction with how the I Do It For You singer handled the situation – while others decried his security staff for allowing it to happen in the first place.
‘Now thats [sic] a professional,’ wrote on user. ‘Security needs to be fired though.’
Someone else sniped: ‘Horrible security… Adams is a national treasure. He was in danger. Not cool.’
Others conceded the fan – who has yet be named – had some surprising vocal chops, despite appearing somewhat inebriated.
‘The drunk was pretty good,’ someone simply wrote.
Another sarcastically sniped of the unlikely pair’s apparent on-stage chemistry: ‘This is rehearsed.’

As for Adams – who is set to continue his tour in Phoenix later this month – he also made light of the incident, with a pair of joking posts on social media.
‘Stage Crashing NOT recommended!’ he wrote on Twitter, where thousands reshared snippets of the strange scene.
In another post to Instagram shortly thereafter, the performer wrote: ‘Sometimes you just gotta laugh…’ sharing footage of the incident.
In the caption, the artist coyly included the hashtags #stagecrasher #summerof69.’
The incident comes amid a spike in poor behavior at concerts in recent months.
Last month in New York, popular pop artist Bebe Rexha, 33, was hit in the face with a cellphone, resulting in the arrest of a man and the singer getting stitches in her native New York.
Later in the month, a man slapped and scratched pop star Ava Max, 29, while she was performing, overpowering security to do so. He was later banned from attending any more of the artist’s shows for life.

The incident comes amid a spike in poor behavior at concerts in recent months. Harry Styles was the most recent victim, pelted by a thrown object while he was onstage in Vienna performing for his Love on Tour. Other victims include Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X, and Bebe Rexha
Earlier this month, country singer Kelsea Ballerini, 29, was the victim of a similar incident. While singing her song ‘If You Go Down’ in Boise, Idaho, when she was hit in the eye by a bracelet.
A few days later, a fan tossed a sex toy at Lil Nas X at Lollapalooza Stockholm in Sweden.
The hurled object in that case was an anatomical replica of the female anatomy, and saw the rapper afterwards jokingly tweak his Twitter handle the next day to ‘p***y’.
Then, last week, video surfaced of Taylor Swift dodging bracelets hurled by fans at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium.
In that instance, the songstress’ security kept a handle on the situation.
Harry Styles, meanwhile, was the most recent victim of the bad behavior, pelted by a thrown object while he was onstage in Vienna performing his Love on Tour concert.
In that case, the former One Direction member was hit by an unknown object launched at his eye.
As for the brazen concertgoer seen at Adams’ show, he has yet to be identified.
