Busisiwe Lurayi dead – Netflix star dies age 36 at South African home as mystery surrounds her sudden death | The Sun

NETFLIX star Busisiwe Lurayi has mysteriously died at the age of 36 at her home in South Africa.

The actress who starred in the series How To Ruin Christmas has suddenly passed away on Sunday, according to an Instagram post by her talent agency.



The statement from Eye Media Artists reads: "We are deeply saddened to notify you of the passing of our beloved Busisiwe Lurayi.

"Busisiwe passed away suddenly and was pronounced dead at her residence on Sunday 10.07.2022 by medical personnel.

"The reason for her death is still unknown as we await the results of the autopsy report.

"We humbly request that you allow us as the family to come to terms with this tragic news.

The South African actress portrayed rebellious Tumi Sello in the 2020 Netflix series How To Ruin Christmas.

The series' second season called How To Ruin Christmas: The Funeral was released last December.

Last year she won a Best Actress SAFTA  (South African Film and Television Awards).

She previously portrayedPhumzile on City Ses'la and lawyer Winnie Molepo, in the legal drama series Sokhulu & Partners.

She has also worked on the ITV drama series Wild At Heart, drama series Home Affairs, soapie Generations,  sitcom S.I.E.S., prison drama Lockdown and the medical drama series Vutha.

Her fans were left devastated by the news of her death and paid tributes to the Netflix star.
