‘Cult Mom’ Lori Vallow Daybell’s late husband Charles warned cops he was worried she was going to hurt their two kids – The Sun | The Sun

'CULT Mom' Lori Vallow's late husband had warned cops he was worried she was going to hurt their two kids.

Bodycam footage and 911 calls with the Gilbert Police Department in Arizona show the concerned husband telling cops he wants his wife "to get help."

The bodycam footage and 911 calls were released after the bodies of Lori's kids, Joshua "JJ" Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 17, were found in Idaho.

The kids' bodies were found on the property of Lori's fourth husband, Chad Daybell.

In one bodycam clip, Charles explained to police outside Hyatt Hotel that "something's gone wrong," and he wanted his wife "to get help," Inside Edition reported.

"I want her to get help. She's my wife. I love her to death. Something's gone wrong," Charles told police.

"And if she wants me gone, fine, I can do all that stuff. I just don't want her to hurt [JJ]. I just don't want her to hurt anybody else."

He added to another officer: "I’ve got a six-year-old with special needs."

The footage was captured on body cameras the same day as the 911 calls, when Lori took JJ and Tylee to spend the night at a hotel as her husband was on a business trip.

In a January 31, 2019 call shared by East Idaho News, Charles Vallow told cops he was concerned about his wife's mental health.

Vallow told the dispatcher at Gilbert Police Department that his wife claimed he stole her purse, and she asked the dispatcher to get a hold order to another officer.

"She’s supposed to be retained for Bridges,” Vallow said of his wife.

“I got an order last night.

"She's lost her marbles," he added.

Charles was trying to take his wife to Community Bridges Mental Health Facility, East Idaho News reported.

The dispatcher said she would speak with an officer and have another cop call Vallow back.

In another call, Charles said that he called a moment ago, and wanted to make sure he was going to get in contact with police.

"I've been trying to get in contact with her all day," he told the dispatcher of Lori.

"She needs serious help."

Charles explained to police that he took his wife's purse, keys and phone while she was dropping her son off at school, Inside Edition reported.

He said he did this so he could try and keep her there long enough so his wife could be served the mental health petition.

An officer wrote in a report that on February 1, they were informed Lori "checked herself" in at a facility whose name was redacted.

The report added that Lori "was discharged a few hours later," Inside Edition reported.

Just six months after the 911 calls, Charles Vallow was shot dead by Lori's brother, Alex Cox, in what was ruled as self-defense.

Just a few months later, JJ and Tylee went missing.

In December, Alex Cox died of a pulmonary blood clot, his autopsy report said.

Daybell and Lori married just a few weeks after the kids disappeared, and were seen in Hawaii.

They were married just weeks after Chad's first wife, Tammy Daybell, died.

Family members have alleged that Chad and Lori were part of a "doomsday cult."

Documents from the Rexburg Police Department revealed that Lori informed her best friend, Melanie Gibb, that she thought JJ was "a zombie."

"Gibb reports that when she arrived in Rexburg, Lori Vallow informed her that JJ Vallow had become a 'zombie,'" Rexburg police Lt Ron Ball wrote.

Gibb further reports that the term ‘zombie’ refers to an individual whose mortal spirit has left their body and that their body is now the host of another spirit. The new spirit in a ‘zombie’ is always considered a 'dark spirit.'"

Tammy's body was exhumed two months later and the investigation is ongoing, authorities previously told The Sun.
