Downtown Louisville fire sees warehouse 'COLLAPSE' after going up in flames in Kentucky with smoke seen for miles | The Sun

A FIRE in downtown Louisville has resulted in the collapse of a warehouse as big plumes of smoke can be seen for miles.

Multiple crews are on the scene of the blaze, including the Louisville Fire Department, as they work to get the blaze under control.



The blaze was reported right around 7.30pm, according to reports.

A warehouse that was engulfed reportedly collapsed around 8.15pm, WDRB reports.

The fire is on the 3000 block of River Park Drive in Louisville's Russell neighborhood.

Residents are urged to avoid the area as crews remain on the scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

No injuries have been reported.

Surrounding buildings have been evacuated, according to a local NBC affiliate.

That outlet is also reporting that smoke from the blaze is being picked up on the weather radar.

WHAS11 also reports that a power outage is affecting the area near the blaze.

Plumes of smoke could be seen for miles Tuesday night as the blaze rages on.

Russell is a neighborhood located immediately to the west of downtown Louisville.
