Singer Grimes and transgender whistle-blower Chelsea Manning have broken up after just four months after it was revealed they were an item.
The pair started dating after Grimes, 34, split from Elon Musk, the father of her two children, for the second time.
According to Page Six the couple had been living together in Austin, Texas, where she is raising her two young children with the Tesla CEO.
Manning, who released information about WikiLeaks, reportedly also kept her apartment in Brooklyn despite making the move across the country.
It is not clear how the couple met, or how they began dating, but it is thought the singer is back on the dating scene.
Sources claim that the couple had been ‘breaking up for a while’, saying that they had previously been ‘getting serious’ after first getting together in March.

She was released from prison in 2020, after her 35-year sentence was commuted by former president Barack Obama.
Grimes, real name Claire Boucher, welcomed a second child via surrogate with Musk and revealed the news in a Vanity Fair story.
She explained that she would ‘probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends.’
The initial report of Grimes and Manning’s relationship came hours after the ‘Oblivion’ singer revealed that they had split for a second time.
She tweeted: ‘Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now.’
The couple split three months after welcoming their second child, and she did not go into detail about when exactly the break-up took place.
However her Twitter thread about the split was ‘liked’ by Manning’s official account.

In June, when asked about her romantic life, Manning told the Daily Beast: ‘I prefer to keep my private life private.’
She was jailed again in March 2019 after she refused to testify before a grand jury that was investigating Wikileaks and its founder Julian Assange.
Manning served a two-month sentence before being released, however she was then put behind bars for a second time.
She was eventually freed in March 2020, one day after she attempted suicide inside her Virginia jail cell.
Manning, who was born Bradley Edward Manning, came out as transgender days after she was sentenced in 2013.
