Gwyneth Paltrow was roasted online for her testimony

Gwyneth Paltrow has been roasted by the internet after a quote from her ongoing ski accident trial went viral.

The 50-year-old actress has been on trial in Utah over the past several days after being sued by retired optometrist Terry Sanderson for a 2016 ski collision.

During one of the trial days, Paltrow took the stand in court to testify when she was asked about the ‘losses’ she herself suffered from the accident. She then responded with the now infamous line, ‘Well, we lost half a day of skiing.’

Since then, the actress has been the subject of viral reactions to the statement by both fans and other stars, including Busy Philipps.

Actress took the stand on Friday

Gwyneth Paltrow took the stand in the Utah trial on Friday, claiming that she feared she was being sexually assaulted when she was hit from behind on a ski slope, saying she felt legs between her legs as she and Terry Sanderson toppled to the ground.

Paltrow, 50, said she screamed ‘You skied directly into my f***ing back’ at the retiree who has accused her of leaving him brain damaged in a ski crash.

The actress, who was one of the first to accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment, said she was momentarily frightened that Terry Sanderson could be an attacker.

Retired optometrist suing Gwyneth Paltrow is set to testify

The man suing Gwyneth Paltrow for allegedly crashing into him on a ski slope in 2016 is expected to take the stand today as the closely watched trial goes into its second week.

Attorneys in Utah said Friday that retired optometrist Terry Sanderson, 76, would likely testify first on Monday, before Paltrow’s defense team make their case.

Paltrow’s attorneys are then expected to call her two children – Moses and Apple, 16 and 18 respectively – and a ski instructor who was present the day of the collision.
