Horror as woman's severed head & bag of body parts found in Paris park just one mile from Gare Du Nord | The Sun

POLICE have found the severed head and other parts of a woman's body in a Paris park.

The dismembered body parts were found split between bags in the Buttes-Chaumont park in northeast Paris this morning.

The police are on the scene and waiting for forensic scientists to arrive to examine the gruesome remains.

The first body piece was found by gardeners in the park on Monday, who discovered the victim's pelvis in a plastic bag, according to a source close to the case.

The decapitated head was then found this morning with the help of park staff.

The Parisian newspaper reported that the lower torso was also found with the severed head today, hidden under foliage in a remote location within the park.

A source told the newspaper that: Obviously, the body was cut dressed. The corpse was not in a state of putrefaction, which seems to attest to a recent death."

It is too soon for police to know identify the victim or establish and how and when she died until an autopsy of the body has taken place.

The Buttes-Chaumont park has been closed to the public since 3pm yesterday after the first grim discovery was made.

Investigators have been searching for more body parts ever since.
