How to rent a Succession palace: They’re the awe-inspiring, envy-inducing properties that are the backdrop to the bitter war between Logan Roy and his avaricious offspring… and YOU can stay in one (if you have a million or two to spare)
- Succession’s Villa La Cassinella, Lake Como, Italy, can cost up to £24,715 a night
- But Logan’s 279ft yacht, Solandge, can cost an eyewatering £157,000 a night
With the fourth – and final – series of Succession now on our TV screens, the plot is becoming thicker than ever as the fictional media dynasty’s unsavoury and utterly compelling saga heads for its climax.
But while the war between foul-mouthed tycoon Logan Roy, played by Brian Cox, and his scheming children remains the central theme, some viewers reckon that the biggest stars of the show are the awesome property backdrops for the unfolding drama.
And, remarkably, it’s possible to follow in the millionaires’ footsteps by renting these scene-stealing places.
Maybe you fancy the six-bedroom, 18-bathroom San Onofre Estate, which hosted Roy heirs Shiv, Kendall and Roman as they met to plot against their father. It is owned by 28-year-old tech entrepreneur Austin Russell, who paid £67 million for it in 2021.
It was rented out privately in 2020 for £280,000 a month. A drop in the ocean – if you’re a Roy.

It’s not the first out-of-this-world mansion that the billionaire Roys have flitted between on private jets, yachts and limousines.
Other properties featured throughout the series, from a castle at the foot of the Malvern Hills to a villa in Tuscany, are also still available to diehard fans… if you have a mogul’s money.
Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire, £5,400 a night
This is the ultimate wedding venue – and close to home. Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire was the setting for the series one marriage of Roy daughter Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Tom (Matthew Macfadyen).
The 19th Century mock castle, located at the foot of the Malvern Hills on the edge of the Cotswolds, is open to visitors who can pay £14 to wander the grounds and see inside.
Home of the Hervey-Bathurst family, it can be hired on an exclusive basis – you must take all 12 bedrooms – for £5,400 a night, which includes dinner and B&B for a minimum of ten guests.
Or to hire Eastnor for a wedding, prices start from £10,950, which includes exclusive venue hire and all 12 bedrooms for one night (food and drink not included).

Rancho Alegre, New Mexico, £15,000 a night
Fancy a night in the Wild West? Then this spaghetti-western-style spread outside Santa Fe, where the eldest Roy sibling, Connor (Alan Ruck), hosted a family therapy session in the first series, should fit the bill.
Covering 175 acres roamed by bison, Rancho Alegre has been described by Conde Nast Traveller as ‘the coolest ranch to rent in New Mexico’.
The 11-bedroom property also boasts a chapel and an infinity pool. Minimum booking is for seven nights and it costs £15,000 a night.

Juvet Landscape Hotel, Norway, £500 for a room
Scandi-cool takes centre stage in series four at the Juvet Landscape Hotel in Norway. While the storylines for this season remain a closely guarded secret, it is expected the Roys will travel to Scandinavia to see tech tycoon Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgard) here.
The Juvet is equipped with a series of ‘landscape rooms’ – cubes on stilts with glass walls overlooking a forest. Half-board for two costs £500 a night at weekends.

Villa La Cassinella, Lake Como, Italy, £24,715 a night
This resplendent Italian retreat featured at the end of series three is tech founder Lukas Matsson’s Lake Como hideout visited by Logan Roy and son Roman (Kieran Culkin).
Ultra-wealthy travellers can enjoy lakeside views from the 30,000 square metre garden, while the villa itself sleeps 17 and comes with a boathouse, heated pool and tennis court – all for £173,000 a week during the summer.

Villa Cetinale, near Siena, Italy, £7,800 a night
The 17th Century Tuscan villa where the Roy siblings’ mother got remarried at the end of series three has a history colourful enough to match any Succession plot.
It was built for the nephew of a Pope, was once home to the Conservative Minister Lord Lambton – who was forced to resign in 1973 amid a sex and drugs scandal – and became a haven for party-goers and rock stars in the 1990s.
Dubbed ‘the most beautiful villa in Tuscany’, the 13-bedroom palazzo sleeps up to 25 and is available to rent for £7,800 a night at the height of summer – usually for a minimum stay of a week.
It comes with manicured gardens, tennis court, heated pool and horse-racing centre.

Oheka Castle, New York, £400 for a room
The Hungarian hunting lodge that hosts an uncomfortable company trip in series two is actually Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York.
Built in 1919 by financier Otto Hermann Kahn, the 127-room French-style chateau is the second-largest private residence ever built in the US.
It is also one of the most sought-after wedding venues in New York state and has a hotel, where rooms can be booked from £400 a night – making it the most affordable Succession location.

Logan’s Yacht, Solandge, £157,000 a night
If the luxurious pads here don’t float your boat, consider the Solandge, Logan’s yacht, which featured at the end of series three.
The 279ft mega-vessel has a helipad, beauty salon, jet skis and snorkelling gear.
It can accommodate 12 guests in six suites – with room for a crew of 29 including chefs. And the cost? A weekly charter will set you back upwards of £1.1 million.
