A DEVASTATED mum has revealed the horror moment she found her nine-year-old girl dying in the street after she was stabbed.

Lilia Valutyte was killed as she played with a hula hoop next to her five-year-old sister in Boston, Lincs.

Fruit picker Deividas Skebas, 22, has been charged with her murder.

Lilia's mum, who was working in a café when the tragedy unfolded, has now told how the youngster screamed out "mum".

Recalling the horror, Lina Savicke, 35, told the Sunday Mirror: "On that fateful day I was giving a gift to my friend when the children were playing outside my windows.

"As I ran around the corner, I heard someone calling me, 'Mum!'

"I go out and see how my little girl was standing a metre away from the big one and she just bled to death."

Lina has also revealed how Lithuanian national Skebas' mum Daiva phoned her to offer her support following the tragedy on July 28.

She said: "His mother called yesterday. I heard that he comes from a very good family.

"She promised to take care of everything that she is able to.”

Lina said she also told Daiva about her plans to raise money for a sculpture dedicated to Lilia's memory.

An inquest this week heard how Lilia's cause of death was given as a stab wound to the chest.

Haunting CCTV showed the schoolgirl holding a hula hoop as she played with her sister just moments before the brutal attack.

Police could then be seen rushing over to Lilia in a desperate bid to save her.

Skebas has been remanded in custody to appear at Lincoln Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on September 19.
