I picked up my baby boy from nursery to find his face covered in scratches – we KNOW it wasn't an accident | The Sun

A MUM was left horrified after she picked up her ten-week-old baby from the nursery only to find him bleeding and covered in scratches.

The mum from Melbourne, Australia, claims the childcare centre told her it was an accident that happened while baby Noah was left briefly unsupervised.

Rachel who does not wish to be identified, told 9News that she was told her baby boy had been scratched by another child when they were left unsupervised during a nappy change.

She said: "I felt lots of pain in my heart, I didn't even want to click the images because they were too graphic.

"It was such a horrible thing that could happen to our boy, we couldn't accept this."

The outraged mum then expressed her doubts about the explanation she was given and insists it was not an accident.

"We [her and the children’s father] were both in tears. We couldn’t believe such a horrible thing happened to our boy.

"My husband says that this was definitely not an accident; this was child abuse."
