Ivana Trump 'looked terrific' before cardiac arrest and 'had no airs about her' says next-door neighbor of three decades | The Sun

IVANA Trump "looked terrific" and "had no airs about her" before she suffered cardiac arrest, says her neighbor of more than three decades.

Ivana’s longtime neighbor told The Sun the 73-year-old's deathinside her Manhattan home was “a shock" after having seen the Trump matriarch just a few weeks ago.

Ivana was found dead at the bottom of a staircase in her home at around 12.40pm on Thursday after someone called 911 to report a person suffering from cardiac arrest.

Judy Abrams has lived next door to Ivana for 35 years, she told The Sun, speaking from outside her Upper East Side home.

Abrams, a Broadway producer, recalled how Ivana “looked terrific” the last time she saw her neighbor, about five or six weeks ago.

She also recalled to The Sun how "well put together" the Trump matriarch looked.

“But when I heard that she died of a heart issue, I don’t know how she didn’t do that long ago given everything she's reading and hearing on the news," Abrams continued.

While Abrams didn't know Ivana's children, she had seen them around.

“If I were a mother and saw what my kids might be facing, and even my ex-husband, I would’ve had a heart attack long ago."

“As a mother, I don't know what I'd do."

She called her neighbor's death “very sad."

A LASTING MEMORY

While Abrams said her interactions with Ivana over the years were “very casual,” there was one encounter she recalled that struck a chord.

Abrams said that when Ivana Perfume came out in the 1990s, the mogul left some at her neighbor's doorstep with a note.

It was right around Christmastime, Abrams recalls, adding that her niece was visiting and also loved the scent.

Abrams wrote a thank you note to Ivana, including the bit about how much her niece loved the scent.

Ivana then left another package and note on Abrams' doorstep.

"Here's for your niece – you don't have to share," Abrams recalls the note saying.

'AN EXCELLENT HUMAN'

Neighbors in the area, including Abrams, said Ivana frequently ordered lunch from Altesi, an Italian restaurant located just steps from her Upper East Side home.

Ivana was also often spotted dining with her teacup dog, Tiger, neighbors told The Sun.

The restaurant’s owner, Paola Alavian, told The US Sun through tears: "Her health seemed normal, she looked maybe a little bit tired, but she otherwise seemed okay."

Alavian said he couldn't remember what Ivana ordered but described her meal as a "very, very small amount of food."

"I'm a little bit in shock right now," he added, voice cracking.

"I have no idea what has happened. We saw a lot of activity going on [outside of her apartment].

"She was just an excellent human; she was a really, really good person.

"It's all very emotional for me at the moment," Alavian continued.

"She was a mother to everybody here."

THE FORMER PRESIDENT REACTS

News of Ivana's death spread quickly Thursday afternoon, with Former President Trump issuing a statement on his Truth Social platform.

"I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City," Trump wrote.

"She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.

"Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her.

"Rest In Peace, Ivana!"

Ivana's daughter, Ivanka, released a statement Thursday evening, saying she is "heartbroken by the passing of my mother."

"Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny.

"She modeled strength, tenacity and determination in her every action.
