Man, 70, arrested on suspicion of murder after woman in her 40s found dead in Swindon home | The Sun

A 70-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman in her 40s was found dead at a house.

The pensioner is now in custody following the tragedy in Swindon.

Officers as well as forensic teams have been at the home in Standen Way in Blunson Street all morning after the incident in the early hours of today.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said police had been called to the scene about 2.30am today.

They said: "Police were called to the sudden death of a woman in her 40s at a property in Blunsdon St Andrew.

"Her death is currently being treated as unexplained and a 70-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

''He is currently in police custody.
