Man arrested after 'trying to lure girl, 14, into a car as she walked down the street with friends' | The Sun

A MAN has been arrested for allegedly trying to lure a teen girl into a car.

The suspect, 32, and another man approached the 14-year-old when she was with her friends.

She was allegedly shouted at during an alleged incident in East Renfrewshire on Wednesday and was left distressed, police said.

He allegedly tried to get her into a red Vauxhall Meriva.

A second suspect is described as around 19, slim build with dark brown or black unkempt hair and thick dark moustache. 

Officers have appealed for witnesses, and believe the men may have been working in Harvie Avenue for the last seven to ten days.

PC Heather Cameron said: "I am appealing to anyone who lives in the Harvie Avenue area.

"In particular, any motorists with dash cams are asked to check their footage as they may have captured images.

The suspect will appear before Glasgow sheriff court on Monday.
