This is the moment an oblivious teenager was nearly killed by a tram because she was distracted listening to her headphones.
The unnamed woman, 18, was crossing the tracks near Paruthan station in the Turkish state of Samsun in a resurfaced video from September last year.
Dramatic footage shows her strolling along immersed in the music coming out of her headphones – while seemingly unaware of a tram heading straight in her direction.
The teen, who was wearing a navy jumper and black leggings, didn’t look where she was going as she accidentally walked into the vehicle’s path in a very tense moment.
Luckily, the driver managed to apply the emergency break so only the left side of the tram clipped the girl in what was a very narrow escape.

The train driver said in a statement: ‘The accident occurred around 08:00 in the morning, while I was approaching Paruthan station in the direction of Line 1, I applied the handbrake, while the young woman was passing without looking to her right or left.
‘I sounded the siren, however, when the girl did not hear me, I applied the emergency brake, which is a strong brake.
