Police have arrested a 45-year-old on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed to death in a house in Gloucestershire.
Emergency services were called to High Street in Cinderford, on the fringe of the Forest of Dean, at 10.20pm on Saturday night to reports of a man being stabbed within a property.
The victim, said to be in his 30s, was treated at the scene by paramedics and later died from his injuries.
A warrant of further detention has been granted for a 45-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police say they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the murder and have now established that both the victim and suspect are local residents. The force believe that the two were both known to each other.

At Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court earlier today (Sunday 10 December) an additional 36 hours of detention was authorised.
Gloucestershire Police say a man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
A scene guard is currently in place at a property while officers remain at the scene.
