My dad converted his barn into a mind-bending ‘palace’ – people who visit say it hurts their brain | The Sun

A DAD converted his barn into a palace of mind-bending art that leaves visitors both dizzy and amazed.

David Hollowell has spent years filling his barn with 3D optical illusion murals as his daughter shares his wonderful work on TikTok.

The 71-year-old who fell off a roof in 2021 and suffered severe brain injuries is now learning how to speak again.

He has since been struggling with aphasia which affected his ability to speak and write.

But this hasn't stopped him from dedicating his time to creating an immersive, electric and whimsical art space – all in his own barn.

The door leading into the magical room has "Enchanted Hanging Garden Of Unearthly Delights" painted on its front, which is just a glimpse into what's to come.

His daughter, Adrienne, runs a TikTok account dedicated to the incredible project and viewers have been left speechless.

Videos show intricate black and white paintings of flowers and vines sprawled across the walls.

Enchanting yellow mushroom sculptures surrounding by vibrant exotic flowers fill every inch of blank space in the room.

The psychedelic garden of art is all two dimensional but David's level of talent and skill makes every piece seem as if they are hanging off the walls.
