How many hot dogs has Joey Chestnut eaten?

Joey Chestnut, also nicknamed Jaws, has reportedly eaten 1,094 hot dogs during the yearly competitive hot dog eating contests since his debut in 2005, according to Just Jared.

Keep in mind, that doesn't include the hot dogs and buns he has eaten while training, or in qualifying events, not to mention recreationally.

That suggests the true number Chestnut has eaten is likely much higher.
