Phoenix strip mall shooting leaves three with life-threatening injuries as gunman opens fire into crowd of 100 people

THREE people have suffered life-threatening injuries after a gunman opened fire into a crowd of up to 100 people, reports say.

Cops revealed that at least nine people have been wounded after shots were fired at a Phoenix strip mall early on June 4.


Sgt. Andy Williams, of Phoenix Police, said cops believe an argument sparked the shooting, KALB reported.

A teen boy was among those shot but he’s expected to survive, CBS5 reported.

The victims are believed to be between the ages of 17-24, according to police.

Punters were reportedly inside and outside a building where a gathering was taking place when shots were heard.

It’s not known how many shooters were involved in the incident but police believe a handgun was used.

Cops haven’t arrested any suspects as investigations continue.

The motive of the shooting also remains unknown.

Officers rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area where the shooting took place with police tape.

The shooting comes amid a spate of gun violence that has hit America.

One person has been killed after shots were fired at a Friday night party in Chester, Virginia.

Six people were shot in total, Lt. Dave Sumner told The Sun.

Chesterfield County Police said officers were dispatched after receiving reports of rowdy youngsters.

At least 13 people died and 70 were injured in over a dozen of mass shootings that took place on Memorial Day.

SHOOTING CHAOS

Researchers at the Gun Violence Archive define a mass shooting as an incident where a minimum of four victims are shot.

It does not include any shooter who may have also been killed or injured during the event.

Escaped convict Gonzalo Lopez is accused of slaughtering a family of five at their vacation home in Centerville, Texas.

Grandpa Mark Collins was among those who were found dead.

His grandsons Waylon Collins, 18, Carson, 16, Hudson, 11, and their 11-year-old cousin Bryson were also killed.

David Crain, a longtime family friend, said the loss "is going to be unfillable."
