Police hunt for three men as 38-year-old dies three months after being thrown against a concrete wall at a train station and suffering a fractured skull following a ‘verbal altercation’

  • The 38-year-old was attacked at Chiswick station at 11.50pm on 14 October 
  • Three suspects exited the station before boarding a bus towards Turnham Green

Police are on the hunt for three men suspected of attacking a 38-year-old man and fracturing his skull by throwing him against a concrete wall. 

The alleged victim was sent to hospital with a bleed on the brain, after getting in a ‘verbal altercation’ with three men at Chiswick station, at around 11.50pm on 14 October. 

The train passenger was knocked unconscious and later suffered a cardiac arrest, before dying in hospital in January this year.  

Three individuals suspected of being involved in the attack fled the west London station, before boarding a bus towards Chiswick’s Turnham Green.

British Transport Police today released CCTV images of three individuals who may be able to assist them in their investigation.

Pathologists are yet to establish the cause of the 38-year-old’s death. However, police are not currently treating the case as a murder investigation.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: ‘Do you recognise these men? Officers investigating a serious assault at Chiswick station are today releasing these images in connection.

‘On October 14 at around 11.50pm the victim was at Chiswick station when a verbal altercation took place with three men.

‘The victim, a man aged 38, was thrown against a concrete wall which resulted in him banging his head and being knocked unconscious. 

‘The three men ran from the scene and boarded a bus towards Turnham Green.

‘The victim was taken to hospital where he suffered a bleed on the brain and a fractured skull.

‘Very sadly, the victim suffered a cardiac arrest in December and died in hospital in January this year.

‘Detectives await further pathologist results to establish his cause of death however they are not currently treating it as a murder investigation.

‘Following a number of enquiries detectives are now releasing images of three men who they think may be able to assist their investigation.’
