Police are hunting a wanted man who has brazenly tattooed his surname on his face after being charged with making threats with an offensive weapon.

Kieran Bond, 19, from Stafford, is wanted by British Transport Police (BTP) after failing to appear at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 26.

He has been charged with two threats with an offensive weapon, following an incident on a train near Cannock Railway Station on Tuesday 29th March.

Now BTP released his mugshot today – which shows the fugitive to have the word ‘Bondy’ tattooed in a thick calligraphy font above his right eye.

BTP are asking for help to track him down by releasing his mugshot picture – which shows Bond with the word ‘Bondy’ tattooed in a thick calligraphy font above his right eye

Social media users were quick to comment on the irony of a wanted man with his name tattooed on his face.

One user said: ‘He has his own name tattooed on his head and the police still can’t find him what a criminal mastermind’.

Another said: ‘Bondy shaken not stirred’.

A third posted: ‘Is that so he doesn’t forget his name’

Sharing his surname with the most famous fictional spy, codenamed 007, users didn’t miss the chance to see the humour in this.

One social media user said: ‘The next 007 thriller looks a bit low budget.’

British Transport Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesman said: ‘He is wanted after failing to appear at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 26 October after being charged with two threats with an offensive weapon, following an incident on a train near Cannock Railway Station on Tuesday 29 March.

‘Officers have made extensive attempts to try and locate Bond, 19, but have so far been unable to trace him.

‘His whereabouts is currently unknown, however he has links to West Midlands, Staffordshire, north west England.’

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Bond is asked to contact the BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2200030772 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
