Vile moment road rage driver appears to deliberately mow down a cyclist in hit-and-run – leaving him lying injured on the road

The moment a cyclist was was hit by a car before his bike was dragged 100 metres down the road has been captured on dashcam.
Police were called to Pakenham, in Melbourne at 6.40am on Thursday after receiving reports that a cyclist had been injured in an apparent hit and run.
The 59-year-old Pakenham man was riding on Douglas St when a white 2008-17 Mitsubishi Lancer passed by.

A police spokesman said the car came to a stop, allowing the bicycle to pass before the driver appeared to accelerate toward the rider, slightly mounting the kerb and then hitting him.
The cyclist fell off and landed on the road, suffering bruising and grazes, while the car dragged his bike for over 100m.

Investigators said the car was last seen driving northwest through the Douglas St and Heatherton Rd intersection.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police are appealing to the public for information, having released dashcam footage and photographs of the incident.
