Secondary school teacher, 28, admits sexually assaulting three girl pupils as he is remanded in custody

  • The former school worker will be sentenced in August and remain in jail till then

A secondary school teacher has admitted to sexually assaulting three of his female pupils. 

Muhammad Taimoor, 28, admitted to 11 charges of sexual assault via video-link at the city’s Crown Court on Thursday.

Having previously worked at a Birmingham school he is now being held at HMP Birmingham.

He was remanded in custody for sentencing on August 18.

The court heard that one of his three victims was only 16 when he sexually assaulted her earlier this year.

Mr Taimoor looked like he was about to cry as he rubbed at his eyes during the trial and wore a casual grey top to speak only to confirm his pleas.

Mr Taimoor pled not guilty to two counts of sexual assault of a fourth victim.

He also denied two counts of inciting a child to be involved in prostitution or pornography.

The denied charges were accepted by the prosecution and will remain on file when Mr Taimoor is sentenced next month.

West Midlands Police said they are supporting pupils at the school where Mr Taimoor worked

West Midlands Police said trained officers are supporting pupils at the school where he worked, as well as working to ensure safeguarding is in place.

Judge Heidi Kubik QC told Taimoor: ‘You will come back to court for sentence in August.

‘There will be a video appointment with the probation service.

‘It is in your interests to co-operate with the preparation of that report. In the meantime you will be remanded in custody.’
