'Sex addict' Dr Thomas Plimmer was on Channel Four's First Dates 'while using surgery for romps with women' | The Sun

"SEX addict" Dr Thomas Plimmer was on Channel 4's First Dates while allegedly using his surgery for romps with women.

The doctor faces accusations from at least six women – including a colleague who said their weekly sex sessions at work were "unwanted".

A tribunal also heard how Dr Plimmer showed the colleague 197 photos and videos of himself having sex with other women.

The Mail now reports that the 40-year-old appeared on Channel 4 show First Dates in 2018.

Dr Plimmer told his date on the show that he was a GP – before asking: "Do you have a rash that needs looking at?"

He also reportedly talked about his sex addiction and past infidelity during the TV date.

The programme was never aired in full – after the trailer for it took Plimmer's then-girlfriend completely by surprise.

She told the Mail: "Having entered a relationship with him, it would have been nice to have had some warning he planned to appear on a TV dating show – but I was given none.

"As it turned out there were other women he was involved with who were just as shocked."

Plimmer's GP practice reportedly feared that the programme would bring it into disrepute – forcing him to demand its removal.

The Medical Practitioners Tribunal is examining allegations that during the period May 2018 to September 2019, Plimmer behaved in a sexually motivated way towards his colleague Miss A, whom he knew to be vulnerable.

Miss A claimed she was "groomed" into regular sex with Dr Plimmer at the clinic in Swindon.

She said she felt used as a "sex object" to help Dr Plimmer's boredom.

Dr Plimmer apologised for his "disgusting" behaviour at the misconduct hearing – but blamed his actions on his sex addiction.

He said: "What I did was disgusting and there's no excuse for that. I betrayed their trust.

"I am sincerely apologetic to everyone I've lied to, and the consequences had towards patients and not being there to care for them."

Disputing Miss A's testimony, Dr Plimmer said: "Not only was she consenting – there was keenness and enthusiasm and enjoyment of what was happening between the two of us.

"At no point did I get the sense she did it to placate me.

"There was no sense whatsoever she was not enjoying the interactions we were having."

Miss A said: "This was a man – who was in a position of power – who did things to me without consent – and that damage is done to me.

"Those scars will be there forever – it has completely impacted my life."

It is also alleged that between January to June 2020 and in February 2021, Dr Plimmer behaved in a sexually motivated way towards four other women.

It is further alleged that in March 2021, he made a threat towards another woman.

The tribunal earlier heard the doctor went on to invite two women he met on dating sites to the surgery where he engaged in sex acts with them during working hours.

On a separate occasion, he is accused of sending unsolicited pictures of genitals that were "taken at work" to another women he met on a dating site.
