Three teenagers are killed and 18-year-old driver is seriously injured in hospital after Alfa Romeo crash

  • Two 18 year-olds and a 17 year-old boy were killed in the horror Yorkshire crash 
  • The driver of the car, 18, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said
  • North Yorkshire police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the car

Three teenagers have died and another has been seriously injured after a horrific car crash in Yorkshire. 

The four boys were driving a grey Alfa Romeo on the B6268 near Bedale when the car crashed around 11pm on Friday July 29. 

North Yorkshire Police said three passengers – two 18 years old and one 17 – died from their devastating injuries after a ‘serious collision’ on the road.

No other cars are believed to have been involved.

The fatal crash occurred on Walsham Road on the B6268 near Bedle in North Yorkshire 

The driver of the car, an 18 year-old man, also received ‘serious’ injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the deadly crash to come forward.

The road stayed closed this morning, July 30, as officers investigated the scene of the crash.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: ‘North Yorkshire Police is appealing for information after a serious collision near Thornton Watlass, Bedale.

‘Around 11pm on Friday 29 July 2022, a grey Alfa Romeo car was involved in a collision on the B6268, Masham Road, near Thornton Watlass, Bedale.

‘The vehicle containing four young men was travelling from Bedale towards High Burton. At this stage, it is not believed that any other vehicles were involved.

‘We’re appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, may have seen the vehicle in the area prior to the collision or anyone who may have dashcam footage or any other information that could help the investigation.’
