A TikToker has shared a genius hack to avoid paying for iCloud Storage without deleting precious photos or important emails.

Apple offers just 5GB of free storage to iCloud users, a sparse amount to what their competitor Android offers at 15GB.

The essential element offers four services, and Apple users will have to fit iCloud Backup, iCloud Drive, iCloud Mail, and iCloud Photo Library into the sparse storage if they want to avoid paying for more.

User Sarah Adekola shared the tip to her social media and advised her followers to download the Amazon Photos: Photo & Video App.

She said: ‘You can get 5GB free photo and video storage from Amazon.

‘All you have to do is download Amazon Photos and log into your account.’

The app offers the same free storage as Apple at 5GB, but Prime users can get unlimited space for their photos and videos.

The app also offers free google drive storage space for prime users. The description says: ‘All Google Drive users receive 16 gigabytes of free storage across Gmail, Google Drive and Google Photos.’

A Prime Membership is just two pounds more than the Apple’s highest storage amount and will offer you unlimited storage as well as access to all of Prime’s benefits.

Apple offers four storage options: 5GB (free), 50GB  (£0.79), 200 GB (£2.49) and 2 TB (£6.99).
