Two people have been seriously injured during an incident in Melbourne’s north, with heavily armed police responding at the crime scene.
Police are continuing to negotiate with a neighbour believed to be involved in the incident at Willoughby Street, Reservoir, about 8.20am on Wednesday after reports that a man and woman were seriously injured.

Paramedics treated both patients at the scene. One person, who sustained upper body injuries, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in serious condition.
“Police are attempting to negotiate with another man at a nearby premises and possibly involved in the incident,” a statement from police said.
