Volodymyr Zelensky reveals his scariest day of Ukraine war as picture showed his reaction to the horror he witnessed | The Sun

VOLODYMYR Zelensky has revealed his scariest day of the Ukraine war so far, a year after Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion of his country.

The Ukrainian president was pictured the day he “saw the devil” and just what the Russian tyrant’s bloodthirsty troops were capable of.

Hero Zelensky was asked about his scariest day of the war so far to which he replied “Bucha”.

He was referring to the city where a massacre of civilians was discovered soon after it was freed from the Russians.

“What I saw in the moment we de-occupied it. It was very scary.

“Because we really saw that the devil is not somewhere else, it's on the Earth. Probably this."

The UN said victims of sexual violence ranged in age from four to 82.

The barbaric troops accused of the atrocities were identified by Ukrainian intelligence as the 64th Motor Rifle Brigade.

Today they were scandalously honoured by their President and granted the title as Guards as they were praised for "mass heroism and valour, tenacity and courage."

The barbarous pack, headed by Lieutenant Colonel Azatbek Omurbekov – dubbed the “Butcher of Bucha”  reportedly conducted the slaughter.

Theyreportedly went on the rampage after they were forced to retreat after their botched attempt to take the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.

Zelensky was visibly emotional as he visited the site just days after the mass graves were discovered.

The Ukrainian leader was flanked by security as he vowed to ensure that the “war crimes” committed by Russian soldiers on his country’s soil were “the last such evil on Earth”.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson later described the events as not “far short of genocide”.

It comes as the sister of a Ukrainian resistance fighter who died in the Bucha Massacre has vowed his killers will face justice.

Natalya Matviichuk discovered her brother Andriy, 37, was dead when a photo of his corpse appeared online, showing his hands tied behind his back.

Andriy had joined Ukraine’s resistance movement and was one of at least eight men shot at point blank range in an alleyway behind a makeshift Russian base on March 4 last year.

Natalya, 40, told The Sun: “My main wish is for victory. I hope and believe we will win.
