Musk's first wife Justine has revealed how she was dumped via the couple's marriage counsellor in the new BBC documentary, The Elon Musk Show.
Who is Justine Musk?
Justine Musk was born on September 2, 1972, in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
She is a Canadian author.
Her work includes the contemporary fantasy novel BloodAngel, Uninvited and Lord of Bones.
Justine spent most of her early life in Peterborough, before attending Queen's University in Kingston, where she obtained a degree in English literature.

After completing her studies, Justine relocated Japan, where she taught English as a second language.
She then moved back to the United States where she finally settled in California and began dating Musk, who at the time was a struggling entreprenuer in his 20s.
When did Elon Musk marry Justine?
Justine and Elon married in January 2000 after six years of dating – by the time they wed he was worth around $20 million.

Just one year before the couple said I do, Musk sold his company Zip2, which he had founded with his brother, Kimbal.
With his newfound fortune Musk went on to found X.com, which revolutionised online money transfer and later became PayPal.
However, whilst on his honeymoon Musk received the news that he was ousted from the board.
In 2010, as part of an explosive interview with marie claire, Justine opened up about her marriage to Musk.
Justine revealed that after eight years of marriage her husband filed for divorce.
She said: ''Six weeks later, he texted me to say he was engaged to a gorgeous British actress in her early 20s who had moved to Los Angeles to be with him.
''Her name is Talulah Riley.''
In the interview Justine also accused Musk of trying to turn her into a “trophy wife”, saying she “sucked at it.”
She also referred to her as a ''Starter Wife''.
Do Elon Musk and Justine have children together?
Elon Musk and Justine share five children together.
In 2002, their first son, Nevada, tragically passed away from sudden infant death syndrome at just 10 weeks old.
The couple then went on to use IVF to have five more children.
In 2004, the former couple welcomed twins Griffin and Xavier.
In June 2022, Xavier filed a petition to change her gender as she wishes to be unrelated to her biological dad.
Xavier Alexander Musk filed the paperwork in California on April 18 to legally change her name.
The petition revealed that she now wants to be known as Vivian Jenna Wilson, TMZ reported.
She said she's changing her name because she "no longer lives with or wish to be related" to her biological father "in any way, shape or form.''
In response, Justine tweeted that she was "proud" of Vivian, adding: "I had a weird childhood," my 18 year old said to me.
"I can't believe I'm as normal-seeming as I am." I said, "I'm very proud of you.
"I'm proud of myself!"
Two years later, Justine and Elon welcomed triplets, Kai, Saxon and Damian.
They too were conceived through IVF and custody is shared between the two parents.
Elon the went on to have more children with Canadian pop-star, Grimes and Shivon Zilis.
Where is Justine Musk now?
Justine Musk now lives a private life with her children.
However, she is briefly returning to the spotlight to appear in the new BBC documentary The Elon Musk Show which begins on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
In the documentary, Justine reveals how she was told that Elon was leaving her via the couple's marriage counsellor.
In the Show Justine says: “We were seeing a marital therapist and he got tired of the stress and uncertainty of it,” she says in the show.
“The next day, I went into my therapist’s office and he had left a message for her to tell me that he was filing for divorce. So that was how I found out.
