L. Ron Hubbard was an American author, born on March 13, 1911, in Nebraska, US.

He is most famous for founding the religious movement Scientology.

Hubbard initially created Dianetics but lost the rights to this when he went bankrupt in 1952.

He founded the Church of Scientology a year later.

L. Ron Hubbard is most famous for founding the Church of Scientology in 1953.

Hubbard was 74 when he died on January 24, 1986.

He had suffered a stroke the week before, and the effects ultimately led to his demise.

He spent much of his later life in hiding due to the controversy surrounding Scientology.
