Young couple expecting baby boy together killed in crash with lorry near Ashford as heartbroken friends pay tribute | The Sun

HEARTBROKEN family and friends have paid tribute to a young couple tragically killed in a car crash this week.

Josh Alexander, 21, and Jessica Poole, 18, who were expecting a baby boy together, died in the horror accident in Woodchurch, Kent, on Monday.


The white Vauxhall Corsa they were in collided with a white DAF truck in Plurenden Road at about 5pm.

Cops and emergency services scrambled to the scene of the crash where the pair were sadly pronounced dead.

Tributes have since poured in for the pair, who three months ago shared the exciting news they were to become parents in November.

Fitness fanatic Josh, who worked at Tenterden Leisure Centre, has been described as a young man who “brought the best out of everyone”.

Josh's dad, Ben Sissens, said he son was his "proudest achievement" and added the "void I feel can never be filled".

He told Kent Online: "You were my first, my everything, my mini me, my heart, my soul and my proudest achievement.

"This void I feel can never ever be filled, but I take some small comfort in the fact I had the privilege to call you my son.

"Rest now my darling, with your beautiful Jess and your baby boy. This is only a see you later, not goodbye."

Friend Ben Wheeler posted on Facebook: "I have never met someone just as amazing, honest, kind and hardworking as you are.

"You deserved the world and deserved to be with Jess and your little boy.

"I hope all three of you are together in a better place. You’ll be forever missed."

Another friend, Michael Harmer, says Josh – who ran his own fitness firm – will be “loved and missed by absolutely everyone”.

Josh's childhood friend Elisha Bailey said he was "truly one of the sweetest boys".

She added: "It was a pleasure getting to know you. I will treasure every memory we shared together throughout our childhood."

Another pal, Bayley Burgess, said Josh was a "bright lad".

He added: "We do love you Josh."

Elliemae Pullman wrote: "Words can't really describe how heartbreaking it was hearing the news this morning that you're no longer with us.

"You were one of my closest friends throughout school, you always knew how to make everyone laugh and gave the best advice when I needed it.

"The memories we made as a group I will always keep close to my heart. We will forever love and miss you."

Jess Pantry said it was “an honour to have known” Jessica, who was a horse lover and regularly shared photos of her enjoying her passion.

“Too young to have your life taken away from you so cruelly!” she wrote.

“Was an honour to have known you. Fly high sweetheart.
