Blake Lively recruits Paul Hollywood to be face of her alcohol brand

EXCLUSIVE: Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s great British takeover continues as they recruit Paul Hollywood to be the face of the actress’ alcohol brand

Ryan Reynolds and wife Blake Lively’s great British takeover continues after the actress signed up Paul Hollywood to be the face of her new alcohol brand.

The Bake Off chef will appear on adverts for Betty Booze, the high end range of ready to drink bourbon and tequila cocktails, after he became friends with the American couple.

Hollywood, 57, filmed the clips and posed for photographs in a shoot in West London on Tuesday where Ms Lively was present.

It is understood that the material will be used not just in the UK but also in the US where the brand will be sold too.

It comes just a week after she and Reynolds – who owns AFC Wrexham football club – visited the Bake Off set where they posed up for pictures with Hollywood and his co-star Prue Leith.

A source close to Ms Lively, who shot to fame in US teen drama Gossip Girl in 2007, said: ‘Paul is quintessentially British, and Blake and Ryan are immersing themselves in all things to do with the UK.

‘They think that Paul is great and with his big following Blake thinks that he will sell a lot of her product. It’s all very random but she wanted a Brit on board so she turned to Paul.

‘They have all become really good friends and Paul is looking forward to going to watch Wrexham play next season.’

Last week, Reynolds and Ms Lively posed for pictures at the Bake Off tent at Welford Park, Berkshire.

Hollywood posted a photo of himself alongside Ms Lively, alongside the caption: ‘Sorry Prue, Blake (@blakelively) has taken your seat…welcome to cake corner Blake.’

Last week Ms Lively, who gave birth to her fourth child in February, announced that she was launching an alcoholic ready-to-drink range, which is an extension of her Betty Buzz mixer brand, calling it Betty Booze.

Within the range is a sparkling tequila with oak smoked lemonade, with butter, a sparkling bourbon with apple ginger sour cherry, and sparkling tequila with lime shiso.

They are 4.5 per cent proof and made with sparkling water, juice and spirits and without any artificial colours or sweeteners.

Sharing her news on Instagram Ms Lively wrote alongside a photograph of herself posing with the drinks: ‘Drinking isn’t my thing. But for f*** sake, flavour is. Homemade recipes. Real fruit. Real ingredients. Quality booze. No c***. Also a real time saver. Which is why I really did it.’

However, the star has been the victim of some backlash as she confessed she doesn’t drink alcohol yet is profiting from selling the booze.

The logo of mother-of-four Ms Lively’s mixer brand, Betty Buzz, appears on AFC Wrexham’s training kit.

Reynolds, 46, also fronts Aviation Gin — which was sold by him to Diageo for a deal up to £466m. He has immersed himself in the British culture since buying the Welsh football club in 2021 and has been seen downing shots in traditional English pubs.

Reynolds is currently filming Deadpool 3 in London.
