Coronation Street star Denise Black has revealed that she was rushed to hospital after breaking her arm and foot following a tragic fall.
The star, 65, who played hairdresser Denise Osbourne in the hit ITV soap, shared the news with her fans on social media following her nasty accident.
Denise, starred in the show in 1992 and in 2017 and was famous for her role as Ken Barlow's lover.
Taking to social media, Denise praised the doctors and nurses who helped her throughout her traumatic experience as she claimed they helped "mend" her.
She captioned a number of pictures, which included X-Ray scans and said: "Now I’m mending I can tell you. I broke my wonky arm. As I fell I dropped what I was carrying which broke my foot. Know Hoffnung’s Bricklayers joke? Google it. I am that joke."
She added: "Humungous shout out to doctors and nurses far and wide, very especially our beloved NHS."
She added: "You make humans seem like GOOD people. Great news is I’m still filming. Even better news is I’m mending. Sure, I may be wonkier than before, but in truth, aren’t all the best people? Inside and out #embraceyourwonkiness #thankyounhs."
And on the back of her candid post, fans rushed to social media to send her well wishes. One wrote: "And you’re still smiling. What a trouper. Wishing you a speedy recovery."
Another said: “Oh no! Wishing you a miraculous speedy recovery.”
A third added: “Oh Denise! You are a calamity. Bless you. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Lots of love.”
The star is also known for playing Joanie Dingle in Emmerdale and has also starred in Queer As Folk.
And as she mentioned in her post, she is now able to continue filming her upcoming TV show Rivals, where she is set to play a character called Joyce Madden.
The show also features Danny Dyer and Emily Atack.
In 2021, Denise left her fans open mouthed as she shared a naked picture of herself on social media and she captioned the post saying she is proud of her body.
Sharing a selfie taken as she stood proudly in front of her mirror, the actress showed off her figure from behind as she placed her arm out to the side.
The star’s silvery tresses gently graced her shoulders and she also wore her reading glasses as she concentrated on the angle for the shot.
And this sent fans wild as they praised the star for her refreshing confidence. She told fans: "“Life’s too short (not me, LIFE). Enjoy it all! Even the pain. All of it.”
