Britney Spears has revealed she became pregnant and had an abortion when she dated Justin Timberlake.
The popstar couple began dating in 1999 and were together until 2002.
In Spears’ book, The Woman in Me, she says she had the pregnancy terminated as Justin felt they were too young to be parents.
“If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father,” she writes in the preview released by People.
“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much.

Spears, 41, went on to become a mother to two sons following her split from Timberlake.
She welcomed Sean Preston and Jayden James with ex-husband Kevin Federline, who now has full custody.
Her memoir is set to hit shelves on October 24, and insiders claim Timberlake ‘won’t be happy’ about what she says about their relationship.
