Christine Lampard says Jamie Redknapp rapped at her wedding as she shares new details

Christine Lampard has revealed that Jamie Redknapp gatecrashed Ed Sheeran's set at her star-studded wedding to Frank in 2015.

The stand-in Lorraine host said the football pundit, who is her husband Frank's cousin, took the mic during the superstar's romantic performance and started rapping.

Revealing the impromptu duet, Christine told OK!: “We’re very lucky to be mates with Ed. He’s a big football fan. He’s a very, very good mate and he moved mountains for us to be able to be on our day, which we’ll never ever forget him for.

"My dad drummed with him – and Jamie Redknapp got up and did a rap.”

Christine, 42, wed Frank, 44, at St Paul’s church in Knightsbridge in a star-studded ceremony attended by their personal Cupid Piers Morgan who introduced the couple at the Pride of Britain awards in 2009. Other stars in attendance included Frank's uncle Harry Redknapp, close friend Holly Willoughby and Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

Christine's father Frederick, who their 16-month-old son Freddie is named after, was a drummer in a band and played alongside Ed on the day. Ed was midway through a 138-day tour with his record X when he pulled out all the stops to be there. Christine and Frank also share daughter Patricia, three.

Jamie, who attended their wedding with his then wife Louise Redknapp, married his wife Frida Andersoon in October last year before welcoming their first child together, Raphael, the following month.

The 49-year-old is also proud dad to sons Charley, 17, and Beau, 13, from his previous marriage to Louise.

Jamie and Frank are first cousins through their mothers Sandra and Pat Harris. The two former professional footballers have both played under Jamie's dad Harry while at Southampton and West Ham United respectively.

Christine is currently standing in for Lorraine Kelly with co-host Ranvir Singh on ITV’s Lorraine for the summer after previously taking a step back from full-time presenting to prioritise her family life.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Christine said: "I stepped away because I decided to have children. I say decided but I was slightly blessed with it much later. So I spent all my twenties and thirties doing anything I wanted. When they came along I thought, this is the new chapter."

Her family, including her dad, who is nicknamed Ricky, retired accountant mum Mina, and sister, Nicola, who live in Ireland, and two teenage stepdaughters, Luna, 16, and Isla, 14 from Frank’s previous relationship with Elen Rivas, are "her world".
