Speaking to BBC Breakfast on Tuesday, Coleen said: ‘We put reindeer food out, leave the carrots and a snack for Santa, get the kids to bed and then Santa comes.’
However, she added that on the day itself the couple focus entirely on their children, and she and Wayne don’t give each other presents.
She said: ‘We don’t buy for each other, we’ve been together too long. Birthdays, yeah, but Christmas is all about the kids.’
It comes after Coleen shared her favourite Christmas photos with Wayne and the kids on Friday.
One snap saw her and the boys wearing their traditional matching festive pyjamas, while posing in front of their tree.
Another snap showed the doting mother and her four children outside their wreath and bauble adorned front door.
Coleen was also seen driving a van full to the brim with wrapped Christmas presents in another fun photo.
‘Happy December everyone! We love Christmas in our house. Here’s some of my favourite Christmas pics taken from my new book,’ she captioned the Instagram update.

Coleen has penned My Account: Coleen Rooney The Autobiography which was released on November 9.
In the book she gives fans an insight into her Wagatha Christie trial against Rebekah Vardy and also gives a ‘full account’ of her life, from her childhood to more recent events.
Rebekah, 41, famously took Coleen to the High Court for libel – and lost – after Coleen claimed in October 2019 that stories about her were being leaked to the Press from Rebekah’s social media account.
During her BBC Breakfast interview, Coleen reflected on the 2022 trial, calling it ‘draining’ and ‘stressful’.
She admitted: ‘It was the unknown going into it. I’d never been into court before, I’d never seen a courtroom before. I just didn’t know what to expect. It was all new and it was scary it was emotional.’
She went on to reveal that she was sitting by herself in the car when the judgement was handed out and detailed what her reaction was like after months of stressful waiting.
She said: ‘My phone started pinging saying “Congratulations, we’re so pleased for you.”

‘It was a bit surreal. I was just sitting there on my own in the car. I didn’t know whether to celebrate or cry. I was a bit numb.
‘Since the verdict, the support’s been unbelievable. I’m grateful for that. When the verdict came out I thought it’s time for me to tell my story. It’s my story to tell.’
Speaking about her book, Coleen said she had no worries about sharing intimate details with the world: ‘Why not tell my side of it? I’ve been in the press for more than 20 years.
‘Even though I can be in the papers and stuff day in and day out they don’t really know me as a person which I feel like from the book hopefully they get me a lot more.’
