Dancing on Ices The Vivienne shrugs off fall in solo skate: These things happen

Dancing on Ice returned on Sunday night for the semi-finals.

The remaining celebrities battling it out to become the winners of the skating show are Joey Essex and his partner Vanessa Bauer, The Vivienne and her partner Colin Grafton, Mollie Gallagher and her partner Sylvain Longchambon, Nile Wilson and his partner Olivia Smart and Siva Kaneswaran and his partner Klabera Komin.

Tonight, for the first time, the final five took to the ice without their partners for a solo performance to Live and Let Die by Glastonbury headliners Guns N' Roses.

The aim was to impress the judging panel, made up of skating royalty Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill as well as Strictly star Oti Mabuse and Diversity frontman Ashley Banjo, who scored each of them out of five.

Things didn't quite go to plan as the skate got underway and The Vivienne crashed to the ice as she attempted an impressive trick.

She fell face first, later telling hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: "My knees are hurting a little bit. We are dancing on ice, these things happen."

The judges placed the 30 year old last in the group with Christopher saying: "Mistakes can be costly."

Coronation Street actress Mollie was fourth, The Wanted singer Siva came third and Olympic gymnast Nile beat reality star Joey to scoop the top title.

Fans were left speechless after the skate, racing to Twitter to say they hope The Vivienne is okay.

One person said: "I feel bad for The Vivienne I must admit, that wasn't a nice fall at all."

Another added: "At least The Vivienne got up and carried on, that's what matters. I hope she is ok as that fall looks nasty."

"Me and my family all went 'aghhhh' at the same time when The Vivienne fell! That was a shame," another wrote as they watched the show live tonight on ITV.

Others were gutted that she was placed in last position, one person saying: "The Vivienne may have fallen but she's still one of the best skaters among the remaining celebrities. Let's not forget that."
