Ginny & Georgia star Brianne Howey welcomes first child and shares adorable birth snap

Netflix's Ginny & Georgia favourite Brianne Howey is officially a mum.

Having initially announced her and lawyer husband Matt Ziering's pregnancy back in March, the 34 year old actress delivered a magical update on Instagram on Sunday with a picture cradling her newborn in a hospital bed.

"My whole world just got a whole lot sweeter. And smaller. Welcome my little love [yellow heart emoji]," she captioned it.

As you'd expect, the comment section was soon bursting with congratulatory responses, as Brianne's fanbase flocked to celebrate the mini bundle's arrival.

"Sobbing. congratulations mama!!!", "OH MY GOD CONGRATULATIONS", "Congratulations to you both!!!!!", "Would expect nothing less than you looking perfect right after childbirth! Congratulations to everyone's fave Netflix mom!" and "SO HAPPY FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY," read several of the messages.

A further six went like this: "Yaaaaa!!! Congratulations!!!", "Omg congratulations! Ur a MOM!!! And going to be so amazing!", "wow your pregnancy flew by!! congratulations bri!!!!", "So precious! Congratulations Bri", "Another Gemini in the world!!!! Congrats Bri Bri!!!!!" and "MY HEART congratulations beautiful mom and welcome to the world little one."

Brianne chose to reveal her blossoming bump in a glammed-up shot ahead of attending Miami's Hugo Boss spring 2023 fashion show. "@boss show with my forever new +1 thanks for having us! Loved every second of the new collection #hugoboss," she proudly captioned the post.

Currently developing its third season (a fourth was commissioned by the streamer too), Ginny & Georgia sees the former Batwoman cast member in the role of Georgia Miller, mother of Ginny and Austin who herself survived childhood abuse. As a teen mother, she fled many areas across the country when her relationships led her and the kids into jeopardy.

Having finally settled in the affluent town of Wellsbury, Massachusetts after Georgia's husband dies, the family soon realise that no matter how far you run away from your problems, they always catch up.

Brianne isn't the only TV star experiencing those glorious sleepless nights, either, as The Apprentice's Tom Skinner's wife Sinead gave birth to twin girls Roma and Darlaearlier this month.

Unfortunately for him, the 32 year old missed their birth as Sinead was rushed in for an emergency c-section four weeks premature while Tom was working away in North Carolina with the West Ham United Legends team.

Tom told The Sun: "The doctor said to me they noticed in a routine scan that Twin B had not gained any weight and hasn't grown at all, and her heartbeat is really slow. He told me 'there's a significant risk to your wife's life and twins' life if we don't get them out immediately. We need to get these babies out within the next 24 hours – latest – but I want to do it now.'"

Being on the other side of the Atlantic, this posed a painful conundrum for the dad, who couldn't grab a flight home for another five hours.

In the end, he felt as though he "might as well" head back to his footy pals because he had "nothing else to do". The drama wasn't done, though, as Sinead's sister Siobhan contacted Tom when he was at the airport to inform him that the twins' heart rates had dropped and that the three of them were in "real danger".

The operation was subsequently brought forward, so Tom didn't stand a chance in making it home in time. He "broke down" while waiting for his flight, fearing that he'd have to tell two year old son Henry that "it's just him and me now".

Mercifully, the procedure was successful, which meant Sinead and the babies were doing fine when Tom eventually turned up.

He said that he sat and looked at his baby girls, telling them they were "little legends".
