Girls Aloud star sends fans wild as she drops biggest hint reunion is coming in days

Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has dropped a huge hint that the pop band is set for a reunion in just days' time.

The 38 year old took to Instagram to share a cryptic graphic of a cinema drive-through with a 4 on the screen.

In her caption, she added a number for and the words 'For You'.

Her fans were beside themselves with excitement, as they rushed to the comments, with one writing: "OMFG they’re coming!!!"

Another said: "This is the most exciting thing the world has had in years."

A third wrote: "Looking promising can't wait to see what is going to happen," and a fourth said: "IT IS FINALLY HAPPENING!!! They are coming!!"

Nicola, along with Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, and Cheryl are thought to have recorded a new song and the accompanying music video, which sees them dressed up in capes as Wonder Women.

They're said to be reuniting in honour of their late bandmate, Sarah Harding, who tragically passed away from cancer in September 2021.

A music source told The Sun: “This has been one of the best-kept secrets in pop, but it’s actually happening now.

“The girls really came back together as friends to rally around when Sarah died, and it repaired some of the old rifts and put things into perspective. Suddenly the reunion which had seemed totally impossible for so long just felt a totally natural thing to do — in Sarah’s honour.”

The same insider added: “They’ve got a single and a video in the can, plans for a full record of new music, and for the fans the most exciting thing will be a massive reunion tour in 2024."

The source went on to reveal that, although the reunion will be bittersweet as the band continue as a foursome, the girls are "very excited" to be back together.

OK! has contacted Girls Aloud's rep for comment.

The band formed in 2002, and became one of the UK's most popular girl bands, until they officially went their separate ways back in 2013 after an on-off hiatus.

Arguably the most successful member of the group following their split, Cheryl went on to become a judge on The X Factor, and was dubbed a “national treasure” by many of her fans.

The Geordie star released four solo albums and topped the UK charts five times with hits including Fight For This Love, Call My Name and Promise This.

However, it was rumoured last year that Cheryl’s solo career was in the balance after her most recent single Let You only reached number 57 in the charts.
