‘I’m not a slave to my fitness regime – I love food too much,’ says Amanda Holden

Britain’s Got Talent star Amanda Holden has insisted she's not a “slave to her fitness regime” as she proudly confessed she “loves food too much”.

The 52 year old star, who is best known for her role on the ITV talent show and for her regular presenting gig on Heart radio, opened up about her beauty secrets and her intention to “flaunt” what god had given her as part of an interview with The Times.

Well known for her revealing and eye catching outfits on Britain’s Got Talent, Amanda has received multiple Ofcom complaints in the past for some of her more risqué outfit choices, but despite criticism from the public, insists she will “never fade into the background” like her grandma’s generation.

Instead, Amanda says, she will continue proudly “flaunting it” for as long as she can.

While discussing her impressive physique with the publication, Amanda outlined her extensive fitness regime which helped her to stay in shape.

Unlike a traditional gym workout, Amanda revealed she runs three to four miles a week in addition to Kundalini yoga practice and a Viking inspired workout routine.

Amanda confirmed she doesn’t workout because she feels she has to, and instead actually enjoys it.

“I am not a slave to any beauty or fitness regime because I love food too much. I eat cheese and butter and I love a drink," she told the publication.

“But the deal I struck with myself was I have to run for my rosé wine in the summer and run for my red wine in winter. And I don’t do it because I feel I have to; I do it for my own discipline and dignity,” she continued.

Striking the perfect balance between moderation and fitness, Amanda allows herself to indulge in her favourite treats, and even admitted that with proper nutrition and exercise she felt like she could shave years off her age.

The interview came just days after Amanda opened up about returning to Britain’s Got Talent, as she confessed she would “definitely do one more year” on the show’s judging panel.

After judging the show alongside the likes of Piers Morgan, David Walliams, Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon, for a whopping 17 years, Amanda recently told MailOnline that she hoped to get that number to 18 before she considered stepping away from the show.
