Jessica Simpson's Estranged Parents Reunited For Dad Joe's Birthday! Look!

Jessica Simpson‘s parents are back together — and by that we mean they’re back in the same room…

On Instagram Monday the songstress shared some sweet snapshots showing off a little family reunion. The photos included sister Ashlee Simpson, mom Tina Simpson, and most surprisingly in the middle of the sweet photo: dad Joe Simpson! Why? It was his birthday! In the caption, the fashion mogul wrote:

“My beautiful family together forevermore. I am proud of us for all that we have accomplished unconventionally with pure honesty.
I love each of you exactly as you are…unconditionally, completely, fully, entirely, and endlessly.
Happy 65th Birthday Dad!!! Bein’ loved by you has given purposeful soul to my life 2/18/2023”

Love it!

The second photo in the carousel featured hubby Eric Johnson and their daughter Maxwell posed alongside Joe, too. So we guess those hard times between Jessica and her dad are a thing of the past?

In case you don’t remember, the 42-year-old was known to have a very tough, strange relationship with her father. In her memoir Open Book she revealed Joe brought the news of his and Tina’s divorce straight to the hospital room, only hours after the With You singer gave birth to her daughter:

“They had been married for thirty-four years, and I had a hard time being around them together since they’d stop loving each other. I was blindsided by this news, which triggered his natural salesmanship. He pitched it to me as a positive thing, ‘You gave me the confidence … You gave me the way out.’ Great, I thought to myself, ‘I broke my own heart.’”

Awww… She also said on Tamron Hall in 2021 that her parents getting divorced at an older age was a weird experience:

“I think when your parents are divorced when you’re older, it’s so bizarre. I wouldn’t change that, although I feel like it made it harder for me to accept other people in their lives. … I didn’t really know what to do with it. I didn’t know what was friendship, what wasn’t. I didn’t know if they still were what they taught me and waited to have sex until they got married.”

It’s definitely a bit of a surprise to see them all together again today, but we’re so happy to see them enjoying quality time as a family! What do U think, Perezcious readers? Sound OFF in the comments (below).
