Kate Mara Confirms Shes Expecting Second Child With Husband Jamie Bell

The actress, who portrays Susan Storm in ‘Fantastic Four’, announces her pregnancy by posting a photo of her and her spouse holding hands during an outing.

AceShowbizKate Mara will welcome a new addition to her family. On Sunday, July 10, the Susan Storm depicter in “Fantastic Four” confirmed that she’s expecting her second child with husband Jamie Bell.

Making use of Instagram, the 39-year-old shared a photo of herself and her spouse holding hands during an outing. In the picture, she wore a short pink dress with silver embellishments on top while her man opted to go with a black suit. “There are three of us in this pic,” she captioned the snap.

The post has since been flooded with congratulatory comments from many. One in particular was Octavia Spencer, who gushed, “Congratulations!!!” Michaela Jae Rodriguez then echoed the sentiment, “Omg congratulations cutie.”

Kate and Jamie Bell are already parents to a daughter, whose name they have kept private. They welcomed the baby girl back in May 2019. As for the “Rocketman” actor, he is also a father to a son, whom he shares with ex-wife Evan Rachel Wood.

One month after giving birth to her first child, Kate revealed that she was diagnosed with a liver condition obstetric cholestasis, which could cause harm to her unborn baby. She had to be induced a month before her due date, but still spent three days in labor in hospital, ruining her hopes of having a natural home birth, and was administered an epidural to try and move the process along.

Kate ended up having to be rushed into the operating room for delivery as her temperature climbed to 102 degrees Fahrenheit (38.9 degrees Celsius) and it was at that point the actress finally broke down over her surgery fears.

“I kept really calm for most of those three days (in labour) but right before I went in for the C-section, that’s when I sort of (felt) the devastation of it and the disappointment of not being able to experience a birth any way that I had hoped,” the “House of Cards” star explained on Dr. Berlin’s Informed Pregnancy Podcast.

“I was so scared to have the C-section, to have this surgery,” she continued. “I was genuinely terrified of what that meant and what could happen and all of these things, and then of course just being tired made me that much more scared, I think.”
