Former One Direction star Liam Payne sent his fans into a frenzy this weekend, as he showcased his ripped physique in a sizzling photo shared on Instagram.
Ditching his shirt to reveal a seriously lean and trimmed six pack, Liam made the most of California’s sunny weather as he enjoyed a romantic getaway to Los Angeles with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy.
The 29 year old singer is certainly not camera shy and has previously been spotted showing off his impressive figure in a number of underwear campaigns over the years, including when he stripped off completely as part of a campaign with Hugo Boss.
In his latest photo shared on Saturday, Liam stripped down to just a pair of jogging bottoms and socks as he posed in a pair of crocs beside a dreamy blue swimming pool bathed in sunlight, prompting many of his fans to get more than a little hot under the collar at the sight.
One fan exclaimed: "Bro posts this pic and leaves the entirety of the fandom in chaos."
"Liam 'Hot' Payne!" said a second.
A third then penned: "My jaw? On the floor” before another added: ”I forgot how to breathe for a moment.”
Liam's post came mere hours after his former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson also shared a shirtless selfie on Instagram, much to the delight of his fans.
"First Louis then you," said one follower, while a second added: "Lilo woke up and both chose violence today."
Yet it wasn’t just his fans that were impressed by his ripped abs, but plenty of famous faces too, including Ty Dolla Sign, who joked: "Its bouta be a Thot Boy summer.”
Before Hollywood sensation Mark Wahlberg weighed in and dubbed Liam a “Beast” alongside a string of fire emojis.
The latest impressive photo came just weeks after Liam had discussed how he had overhauled his life after frying unhappy with his image following a "wild booze and pills phase”.
Speaking candidly about the moment that prompted the change, the star said: "There were a few pictures of me on a boat and I was all bloated out and I call it my pills-and-booze face.
"My face was 10 times bigger than it is now. The problem was, the best way to secure us was to lock us in our rooms, and what is in the room? A mini-bar.”
This was particularly rough for Liam during lockdown, as he previously told Steven Bartlett's Diary of a CEO podcast, that he relied heavily on alcohol to get him through the pandemic.
He said: "I put a lot of weight on. What got me, I did one performance on TV with the BAFTAs and I was disappointed with myself, I didn't look how I wanted to look.
"In your own self, you know how you feel about it, obviously they say the camera adds ten pounds and it definitely did, I realised I've let myself go in this."
