Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen breaks silence after Ravenseat closure

Extraordinary Farming Lives: Amanda Owen introduces show

Amanda Owen fans were delighted to see the Channel 5 star back on social media, after a month and a half without posting a single Instagram picture.

The star shared her latest business venture away from the farm with over half a million followers today, as she made the big announcement that she’d appeared on a culinary judging panel.

Deliciously Yorkshire, which has been “proudly supporting the [local] food & drink community since 1989” held a scrumptious tasting event – and the 49-year-old was on hand to judge.

She shared a snap of herself and the other judges on her Instagram Stories, boasting that she’d been “on the judging panel eating cakes, buns and PIES!!”

Amanda looked stunning at the event in a bright turquoise blue tea-dress with cap sleeves, which she’d paired with trainers for comfort.

This is the first major public outing the shepherdess has been spotted at since it was announced that the farm would be closing “until further notice”.

As it had previously been possible for guests and fans of the show to pop in for cream teas and to admire the rural surroundings, many were dismayed.

However, many devotees have their fingers crossed that Ravenseat will reopen soon, like the previous closure in 2022 during the lambing season, which ended swiftly.

Meanwhile, her eldest daughter Raven has been seen selling second-hand clothing bargains on Vinted over the summer.

Fashion fans were elated at the rock bottom prices, which allowed them to pick up a pair of shorts for £2, a zebra print dress for £3 and a bright orange Zara jumper, which was the priciest item in her store at just £4.

Amanda herself has remained silent on social media recently, although she’s made brief appearances on pages belonging to her children.

She appeared to be in high spirits in a recent selfie on her eldest son Reuben’s page, which he normally uses to promote his digging business, smiling delightedly alongside him.

At the time, Instagram follower @chunky_unk added: “Nice to see your mum smiling,” after her 22-year marriage to ex Clive ended.

Amanda previously told Mail Online that the pair’s split was amicable, explaining: “We are co-parenting and the whole family is very happy… I was just with Clive this morning [and] there’s absolutely no problem between us.”

She added that she is now an “independent woman” caring for her kids and sheep.

Meanwhile, young Reuben is carving out a name for himself as an agricultural expert, appearing with his dad on a spin-off show called Beyond The Yorkshire Farm.

It has been speculated that the 19-year-old could also become a big name in reality TV in his own right, possibly appearing on the show Dancing On Ice.

On ITV’s Lorraine, Clive said that he was stepping back from the show they’d been doing together, as his son “doesn’t want me on his hands”.
