Salma Hayek posts to celebrate 25 million followers
Linda Evangelista has shared a touching tribute to her son’s stepmother Salma Hayek after she supported her when she was sick.
The former supermodel, 58, said that Salma went above and beyond and even “jumped on a plane” to help her when she was unwell.
In Vogue’s September 2023 edition, Linda gave the publication a rare insight into their blended family.
Linda shares a son with billionaire François-Henri Pinault whom she dated for a brief period in 2005. They share a son Augustin, 16.
Salma, 56, tied the knot with François-Henri, 61, in 2009 and together they share a daughter named Valentina, 15.

Salma has taken on the role of being a stepmother to Augustin which has stretched far beyond his needs, as she recently supported his mother, Linda.
Linda told Vogue that she spends a lot of holidays with Salma and her ex-boyfriend as a family. But on one occasion she became sick leaving her unable to attend the festivities.
This led Salma to swoop in and take care of her stepson’s mother.
She said: “I was sick at Thanksgiving and Salma got on the plane with her daughter, came here, and made Thanksgiving dinner.”

She added: “I wanted her Mexican chicken with truffled potatoes. And she spent the day in the kitchen and cooked it herself. No help.”
Crediting the Hollywood actress’s kitchen skills, she claimed she made the family a feast.
She recalled: “The kids helped her at the end. She made a feast — a beautiful, beautiful meal. I had told her that I wasn’t going to have Thanksgiving; I wasn’t feeling well. And she said, ‘Oh yes you are: I am coming.’ And poof, she was here.”
Last year, Linda opened up about the impact and aftermath of CoolSculpting – which had an effect on her relationship with her son.
CoolSculpting is a side effect called paradoxical adipose hyperplasia. The rare side-effect from fat-freezing procedures left her disfigured and a recluse.
Linda spoke with PEOPLE, and admitted: “[Augie] used to say, ‘Mommy, do you remember when you used to be fun? Remember when you used to laugh all the time? How come you don’t laugh anymore?’ I hate what this has done to my relationship with him”.
